(soft) Launch of CSD forums - 2.0!
Well, here it goes - the first post!
Again, I don't know how well this concept will take off, though I do believe we've covered a nice little niche in the survivalism / preparedness community. If we can all get a lot of use out of this forum, I'll pay to have the ad's removed and make it a lot more professional.

Re: (soft) Launch of CSD forums - 2.0!
Hello again! I'm glad you're starting this up again because I think it could be a great community.
I have a couple of thoughts though. I think you should condense the forum topics instead of having all those individual ones. While starting up, there may be a lot of empty space for a while.
Also, I'm not sure if you want this to be Canadian focused, but if you do, I would draw more attention to that. I think being CAD focused is a good idea (I'm in Toronto) and would fill an important niche.

Glad to see you're back!
Modified a few more forums to include some more topics.
To be honest, not sure how to make it more 'Canadian' besides limiting viewers based on IP or something - but the rest of CSD isn't limited in that way...

On the blog header, it says Canadian preparedness lifestyle, but not the forum. I guess most people will come from the blog so it doesn't matter much.

I think the reason for that Swirv, is that the principles discussed, and information provided can be applied by anyone, not necessarily just Canadians.
Might want to add some sort of disclaimer though, in case discussions include legal aspects, which won't be the same everywhere.

Yeah, I understand the universalness of the information.
I guess my point was whether this a forum about these topics, but also from a Canadian perspective. (I would be in favor of this)
Or is it just this forum where there may or may not be a majority of Canadians.
FYI - I'm an American and have been a permanent resident in Canada for 10 years, so I guess I have seen these things from two different perspectives.
