Go Bags - Who's got one?
No - I'm not talking about bug-out-bags. I'm talking about Go-Bags.
If you have to leave your sanctuary, REALLY quickly - do have a go bag packed?
For now, my go bag is my truck bag.
Let me explain.
My bag sits in the back of my truck and waits for its call to action. On nights like tonight, with localized tornado warnings and the like, I'm starting to consider a dedicated bag - regardless of the cost.
So - who's got a go-bag?

Yeah, my truck has kind of a go bag. It's definitely not a bug-out type bag, basically the idea is if I couldn't go home for a few nights (or to get me home on foot if I couldn't use my vehicle). Shelter, food, water, extra clothing, hygiene. Just the basics. There are also some other things in my truck that aren't part of the bag that would be useful, such as steel-toed boots (with nice insoles).

I do not.
Though whenever I leave the house I have a fair bit of kit on me as it is. If I do plan on leaving the house for a few nights I'll bring a bit more, effectively turning my answer into a "yes," but I do not keep one packed and ready to go all the time.

We have our bugout bags, our vehicle kits, and our everyday carry. Where would a go bag fit into all of that? As an additional, smaller, bag that you have with you on top of your existing setup? To me, it's overkill. And I'm normally of the mindset that you can never be too prepared.
If you're out of town, away from home (and the majority of your gear and supplies), you should have your bugout bag. If you're driving around close to home you have your vehicle kit. If you're walking around you have your edc setup. I don't see any need for another kit to work as an intermediary.

I share the same philosphy a Wilson, there can be a point of too many bags.

Since I'm prepping for a hiking trip at the end of the month, I now have something you could call a 72hr pack setup right here. It's temporary, but it covers basically everything you'd want in such a bag.

1 for car, 1 for home, 1 at work

Care to expand on that? Are they outfitted differently from each other? What's in them?
Re: Go Bags - Who's got one?
I'm looking at a grab pack for my family, but there are five of us and so It's easy to procrastinate. Part of my issue is knowing that with the kids I need to address their packs extra clothing at least twice a year as they grow out of things so fast......
I need to create a few vehicle packs as well, more for a stuck in the ditch scenario then surviving in the middle of nowhere situation.
If I can get my vehicles sorted then I should be able to make a BOB with slightly less stuff in them. Maybe if I have the vehicle bag be able to attach to my BOB.....
